The apron has an impressive central ‘Rocaille’ shell carving flanked by 2 carved finial designs at each front corner. Above is the straight high back with a scalloped shape at the top. The set is upholstered with a rich off white fabric and patinated nails.

A most attractive pair of French 19th Louis XVI st. mahogany and ormolu mounts signed ‘Krieger, Paris’ stools with all original gilt. The pair are raised by 3 fluted tapering legs decorated by very detailed ormolu garlands below a finely chased ormolu band. Above is the straight apron adorned with a most exquisite ormolu beaded row and at the top of each leg is a wonderful chased flowerhead. The pair have a rich light green silk fabric with an elaborate floral design.
