An attractive pair of French mid 19th century Louis XVI richly chased ormolu candlesticks. Each candlestick has a circular chased base decorated with acanthus leaves and a beaded border. The central fut also has elegant chasings of acanthus leaves, side tassels and a top beaded border. The candlecup is decorated the same. Exceptional chasing and all original gilt.

A high quality pair of mid 19th century three arm French Louis XVI st. candelabras. The pair are raised by a square Malachite base above topie shaped ormolu supports. Above is a spiral fluted ormolu urn with Satyr handles on each side below the exquisitely chased three scrolled floral arms. All amidst blossoming flowers and foliage. The three candlecups are shaped like flowers. All original gilt.

The stems are decorated by Laurel bands below fluted designs. The two ‘C’ scrolled arms have acanthus leaves flank the central top flame. Finely chased throughout with all original gilt.

A spectacular pair of French 19th century ‘Belle Epoque’ period, five arm ormolu and patinated bronze, candelabras stamped H. Picard. Each raised by a circular ormolu chased base decorated by dolphins and acanthus branches. One with Cupid and his bow and arrows, and the other with Psyche with arms raised waving. The five ‘S’ scrolled arms are decorated by lily branches ending with ovoidal shaped nozzles. All original gilt and patina.

Each candlestick has triangular base with canted corners supporting the tripod of lion paws just below the rounded station with acanthus leaves design that is repeated below the candlecup. Above is the fluted column with a rim of acanthus leaves below the candlecup that also has a leaf design. All original gilt.

19th Century Blue John And Ormolu Mounted 4 Arm Candelabra

A sensational and extremely high quality French mid 19th century Blue John and ormolu mounted 4 arm candelabra. The candelabrum is raised by a square moulded edge base above topie shaped ormolu supports. Above is the large scaled highly decorated Blue John urn of prosperity with all original burnished and satin finish with two handles. The urn has four scrolled floral branches with candle cups. This urn could easily be electrified to become a handsome large scale desk lamp.
