A spectacular and unusual shaped early 19th cent. French Louis XVI st. mantle clock. The clock signed by 'Chapsal a Paris' in solid ormolu with all original gilt stands on a rectangular base raised by four swans. The center of the base has a heavily chiseled plaque of a landscape scene below two cherubs playing. The signed enameled dial is below two love birds. The sides are also heavily decorated with a dog, hearts and an arrow

A stunning mid 19th century French Louis XVI st. ormolu clock signed by 'Bardon' in Montpellier France. The clock in ormolu with all of its original gilt has two love birds on The left looking over to the right where a bronze cherub is standing proudly with his bow. The enameled dial is raised on a heavily chiseled base with garlands and a central reserve and all raised on five feet. Above The dial is The flame of prosperity wrapped in a wreath of flowers. The clock has a stamp on The movement for having won a 'grand honor' award in 1855. The bronze flame was done by 'Japy Freres' in Paris

A sensational large scale French Louis XV period, circa. 1730, clock, signed Le Faucheur. The clock is raised by four ‘C’ scrolled acanthus leaf decorated supports. The lower scrolled pierced front displays the pendulum. The upper portion is decorated with rams heads and large draped laurel garlands. The large enameled dial is below the handsome trophy top of a helmet with feathers, flame, arrow and a central crest. Exceptional quality. All original gilt.

An exquisite French Louis XVI st. mid 19th century marble and ormolu clock, signed ‘Japy Frères’. The clock is raised by a rectangular white Carrara marble base with ormolu supports decorated by finely chased plaques of cherubs playing. On one side of the original white enamel dial is the eternal flame with a bow and arrows in their quiver. The other side has a lady embracing a young cherub, holding a garland of flowers. All original gilt.

A most spectacular and extremely high quality French 19th century, circa. 1840, Louis XVI st., white Carrara marble, ormolu and patinated bronze annular clock, signed MARTI. Raised by a circular white Carrara marble fluted base above a chased ormolu base and ball feet. Above is a beaded band and acanthus decorated fut. The gadroon shaped fluted urn of prosperity has two patinated bronze cherubs holding grapevines in each hand, above the silvered bronze chapter ring dials. The top lid has large chased acanthus leaves below the top acorn finial. Exceptional quality.
