An exceptional and high quality pair of Louis XV st. mounted porcelain parrots, signed 'Meisseu", in perfect condition. The ormolu pierced base has a very attractive scrolled foliage design. Above the porcelain is decorated by large and finely painted leaves and flowers. At the top are the detailed parrots with open wings. Exquisite colors of green, blue, red and yellow. Raised by a square carved base, Bacchus has crossed legs and is turned toward his right side leaning on a grapevine trunk. Bacchus wearing naturalistic shaped attire holding some grapes in his left hand. Impressive proportions and quality of carving. All original patina. Extremely decorative.
