A most charming pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu and cut crystal ‘lyre’ shaped 5-light sconces. The pair is raised by a circular back plate, and has a central ‘bras de lumiere’ decorated by flower shaped crystals. On each side is a double light branches decorated by finely cut crystals. At the top is a stylized branch wrapped by an exquisite garland of crystal beads and drop shaped crystals at each end. All original gilt.

A very attractive and high quality pair of French 19th century neo-classical st, dark patinated bronze and ormolu 5 arm scones with all original gilt. The sconces have a most impressive ormolu wall plate finely chased of Bacchus mask with fruits. Above is a large 's' scroll decorated by acanthus leaf designed and a stunning flaming urn of prosperity at the end. Hanging below is a fluted central stem with 's' scrolled arms with exquisite leaf shaped candlecups and gadroon shaped candleholders.

A most impressive, richly chased and large scale pair of mid 19th century French Louis XIV st. ormolu four arm sconces. The pair with a top draped ribbon back plate, cast with a top military helmet with feathers above a staff with berried laurel garlands, a sign of peace. On each side are arrows above the important four 'S' scrolled arms with acanthus leaves and highly chased saucers and candlecups. Below is a military trophy with lion paws. All original gilt. Similar to a model in the chateaux de Versailles.

A most spectacular, very high quality and rare pair of Italian 19th century giltwood and mirror three arm sconces with all original gilt. With elaborate 's' scrolling shapes and finely carved detailed busts of the nymph Syrinx and Greek god Pan. At the bottom is an elegant 'c' scroll carving below the 3 spiral candle arms. Above are stunning pierced carvings throughout revealing the mirror backplate. At the top of each figure is a spectacular 'c' scrolling carved acanthus leaf.

The sconces have attractive large finely chased leaf designs which raise the 's' scroll shaped support. at the top is a richly detailed dragon figure above five 's' scrolled shaped arms with exquisite designed floral bobeches. Wonderful proportions.

A senstional and complete set of 4 Italian early 19th century giltwood and wrought iron sconces with all original gilt. The 's' scrolling sconces have a very attractive oval shaped laurel leaf carved backplate supporting the finely detailed rosette with a large acanthus leaf at the bottom. Above is a most impressive acanthus leaf which wraps the stunning fluted spiral design central stem. At the top the candle stand with an elegantly cut waterleaf border and an acorn leaf shaped tole drip pans.

A stunning pair of French 19th century Louis XIV st. oval shaped one arm ormolu sconces with original mirror plates. At the bottom is a satyr mask holding the ‘S’ scrolled arm, with a gadroon shaped candlecup, below a charming winged cherub. On each side of the sconces are large winged angels. At the top is a central shell and three cherubs below a moulded pediment. Wonderful chasings throughout and patina.

The pair have a large ribbon at the top ending with tassels, and decorated by very detailed acorn branches. At the center of each sconce are 3 large horns supported by large bombee shaped support.
