Each sconce has a female face on the back plate with scrolling and topped with an acanthus leaf design and bottom finial. Two ‘S’ scrolled arms with bottom finial, pierced octagonal shaped saucer and reeded, beaded candlecup. All original gilt.

The pair have scrolled foliate below a platform with a winged maiden in classical dress. The maiden with her hands on the sides of the square tapered fut displaying the empire owl , crescent and star. The central fut supports the double scrolled arms decorated by acanthus leaves and medusa with serpents at the candlecups. All original gilt.

A handsome and large scale pair of Italian 19th century Louis XV st. giltwood sconces. The pair have an impressive ‘S’ scrolled carved acanthus leave backplate, centered by a ‘C’ scroll support. The tapering carved stem ends with a circular bottom finial and an attractive foliate spray at the top. Above the bobeches are carved in a naturalistic manner, with off-white silk shades.

A very attractive and high quality pair of French 19th century neo-classical st, dark patinated bronze and ormolu 5 arm scones with all original gilt. The sconces have a most impressive ormolu wall plate finely chased of Bacchus mask with fruits. Above is a large 's' scroll decorated by acanthus leaf designed and a stunning flaming urn of prosperity at the end. Hanging below is a fluted central stem with 's' scrolled arms with exquisite leaf shaped candlecups and gadroon shaped candleholders.
