A Louis XVI st. French 19th Century two door vitrine in Mahogany. Inside the vitrine lays four adjustable shelves. The lower quarter section of the doors are decorated with beautifully chased bronze dore mounts with a Laurel wreath. The upper section of the doors are fitted with beveled glass below the highly decorated bonnet with a Laurel medallion in the center as well as the escucheons and small urns on either side of the doors.

A charming and elegant French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated antique white and light gray ‘Deux Corps Vaissellier’. The cabinet is raised by four tapered circular supports below the two mottled paneled doors with attribute of musical instruments amidst laurel branches and a top bow below two fluted drawers. On each side of the doors are fluted columns below carved acanthus leaves. The hutch with its original paned glass doors is below the fluted top crown. The coral patinated inside has two shelves. The sides have wonderful mottled panels.

A wonderful and extremely decorative Italian late 18th century early 19th century two tone patinated Verde and silvered vitrine. The vitrine is raised by a mottled silvered leaf plinth having four doors with diamond and triangular shaped raised panels separated by faux painted marbled columns with a central carved rosette. Above are the four glass panel doors with all original hardware likewise separated. Inside lays three shelves each and electrified on both sides. The top has an impressive crown with silvered rosettes above four slender elongated doors.

18th Century Dutch ‘Meubles à Coussins’ Ebony And Rosewood Kussenkast

A monumental mid 18th century Dutch ‘Meubles à Coussins’ ebony and rosewood Kussenkast. This most impressive cabinet is raised by bun feet below the dentil shaped frieze with a wide drawer and original iron pulls. The raised double paneled doors and sides of rosewood with rippled ebony borders, are flanked by ebony columns raised on rosewood blocks, with stunning top capitols of cherubs and floral garlands. The central front column slides to the side to reveal the hidden keyhole. The top has an extended crown of rippled ebony moldings decorated by carved lions finished in rosewood....................................................................................................................................................
Dutch cabinets of this nature are excellent examples of Amsterdam craftsmanship from the second quarter of the 17th century. Commissioned by wealthy families to celebrate a marriage or commissioned by wealthy patrons in order to have imposing pieces of furniture. Often the most expensive piece of furniture in the house next to paintings by Rembradt Vermeer Hals Terborch Ruysdael de Hooch and van de Velde.These Kussenkast cabinets are similar to German Wellenschrank, Fassadenschrank, Schappschrank, and Eichenschrank, and also Italian Armadio cabinets.

French Louis XVI St. Mid 19th Century Cabinet

A very high quality and extremely elegant French Louis XVI st. mid 19th century cabinet in mouchette mahogany and ormolu mounted. The cabinet is raised by four topie shaped legs decorated by ormolu sabots and top band. The two mottled doors designed with a highly chased ormolu border are flanked by concave corners with beaded ormolu bands. Inside lays the two original adjustable shelves. Above the doors is a single drawer with two handles and a central keyhole escutcheon. At the top lays its original Noir Cihigue marble top. All original hardware and gilt throughout.
