19th Century French Transitional St. Demi-Lune Commodes

A very attractive pair of late 19th century French Transitional st. Demi-Lune commodes. Each commode is raised by tapered legs with ormolu sabots below the scalloped apron decorated by a central ormolu mount. The tulipwood commodes have a lovely inlay border on each of the 4 drawers and sides. Each drawer has ormolu pulls and keyhole escutcheons, flanked by ormolu top mounts. At the top lays the thick moulded edge Breche d’Alep marble. All original gilt.
