A high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Russian style, 'Bonheur du Jour', in solid Mahogany with ormolu and brass filets and all original hardware. Raised by 4 topie shaped supports with ormolu sabots and rings. Three large drawers with ormolu borders and impressive inlaid brass filets. Above is a sensational flip open writing surface with its original fitted green leather. At the top is a group of 3 drawers and a finely chased pierced ormolu gallery, with finials at each corner.

A charming French Transitional 19th century lady's writing secretaire. The abattan above three drawers has a faux leather book front. The secretaire has quarter veneered tulipwood, charmwood and kingwood marquetry. The whole is ormolu mounted with a gallery around a white Carrara marble top.

A very elegant mid 19 century Louis XVI st. light blue-gray patinated five drawer desk. This painted desk is raised on tapered reeded legs. A large central drawer is flanked by two smaller ones on each side with reeded corners and carved panels at the sides and back. At the top is a wonderful faux painted leather with a central reserve of foliate, arrows and scrolls. All original patina.

19th Century Louis XVI St. Mouchette Mahogany ‘Bureau Au Cylindre’

A majestic 19th century Louis XVI st. mouchette mahogany ‘Bureau au Cylindre’ with all original ormolu mounts. This magnificent rectangular desk has a border top gallery with three drawers, all with ormolu pulls and a central keyhole escutcheon with paneled sides and back. The perfect roll top has an ormolu keyhole escutcheon and pulls which opens to a wide central drawer with two smaller ones on each side all with ormolu pulls, and eight small storage shelves. A substantial pull out writing surface is fitted with black leather and a gilt tooled border, the pull out is repeated again on both sides of the desk. At the frieze is an ormolu molded border that continues on all sides of the desk. Below is a central drawer with keyhole escutcheon and ormolu pulls flanked by two smaller drawers on each side that also lock. The desk is raised on cabriole legs with paw shaped ormolu wrap around sabots and richly chased top mounts of ‘S’ scrolls, acanthus leaves and hanging garlands.

French Mid 19th Century Louis XV St. Tulipwood Bureau Plat

A very high quality French mid 19th century Louis XV st. tulipwood Bureau Plat. The desk is raised by elegant slender cabriole legs decorated by ormolu chutes and wrap around pawed sabots. The scalloped shaped frieze has three drawers and is decorated by highly chased beaded scrolls and acanthus leaf mounts with ormolu keyhole escutcheons and leaf shaped handles. The back of the desk is the exact replica of the front façade but without working drawers. An ormolu trim borders the entire desk with wreath like mounts on each side and floral mounts at each corner. At the top is an exquisite burgundy gilt tooled leather with ormolu mounts.

Kingwood inlay of foliate on all sides and top. Raised on cabriole legs with ormolu wrap around sabots and top mount. On each side of the table is a drawer with ormolu keyhole escutcheon. At the front are two ormolu pulls and gilt tooled leather pull out top.

A handsome and large scale French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. Tulipwood and Kingwood inlaid desk. The desk is raised by square tapered legs with original caster and ormolu sabots while having a leather fitted pullout on both sides. At the apron are four drawers with ormolu keyhole escutcheons. One drawer is with several compartments. The top is fitted with a burgundy and gold tooled leather bordered by a Tulipwood border and a pierced ormolu gallery. The other side of the desk is inlaid the same.

An exquisite and very attractive 19th century Louis XVI st. desk. It has fluted circular tapered legs with ormolu sabots and finished with ormolu filettes. There are three drawers with ormolu keyhole escutcheons. On each side above the legs is a superb ormolu floral arrangement hanging from a ribbon. The top has fitted black leather with gold tooled border.

An early 19th century, French Louis XV st. kingwood inlaid secretary/cabinet with four drawers. Raised by cabriole feet and a bottom scalloped apron with a scrolling ormolu foliate motif. Above the front legs are ormolu mounts of an urn with flowing floral garlands. The cabinet doors open to a pullout writing surface fitted with a green leather. The serpentine moulded marble top is “Brocatelle Jaune”.
