A high quality French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. rectangular table/desk. Raised by square tapered legs ending in ormolu sabots and with a top ormolu triple triangular ormolu mount below a rosette at the frieze. The legs are inlaid with a foliate marquetry at the frieze, with a drawer, highly decorated by a richly chased ormolu band. The band has an intertwining design with large rosettes in the center amidst foliate mount. The top has a fitted tan colored leather top with a gilt tooled border. Exceptional quality with all original gilt and hardware.

A most powerful and of the highest quality French First Empire period, Circa. 1805, ‘Secretaire Abattant’. The secretary is solid Cuban mahogany and fire gilded ormolu mounts with two outer columns including ormolu bases and capitals. The bottom has two doors with Empire butterfly keyhole escutcheons opening to three large drawers. The fall-front opens to reveal a forest green lined writing surface, and four interior drawers with a secret central drawer, below the mirrored back and larger drawer. At the top is a heavily decorated drawer with fanciful and highly chased ormolu mounts, including a central winged maiden writing on a scroll. All below the Portor marble top.

A sensational and important French 19th century Louis XV st. rosewood, tulipwood and ormolu desk, with all original gilt. Raised by cabriole legs with ormolu chutes at the top. The elegant scalloped apron has a central drawer flanked by pierced ormolu mounts and 2 larger fitted drawers with richly chased scrolling ormolu handles and keyholes. The sides are finished the same. The top has a thick ormolu moulded border surrounding a handsome tooled black leather top.

A most spectacular and extremely high quality, French 19th century, circa. 1880, mahogany and ormolu mounted 'bureau plat', signed 'l. cuenieres, jme'. This presidential sized bureau plat is raised by impressive cabriole legs with wrap around sabots of acanthus leaves below exquisite maidens with an 's' scroll design. The three drawers are framed by an ormolu band and mounted by richly chased ormolu handles and keyhole escutcheons. The two ends have a central grotesque mask framed within bands. The top is fitted by its original gilt, tooled brown leather and bordered by an ormolu gallery and corner reserves. All original gilt and hardware.

A sensational quality and extremely elegant 18th century, circa. 1750, French Louis XV period 'bureau a cylindre'. The bureau is raised by four cabriole legs decorated by ormolu chutes and sabots. The chutes continue to the scalloped apron with three drawers and inlaid bands of tulipwood and charmwood bordered by kingwood. Above is the roll top cylinder, in quarter veneered tulipwood. The roll top opens to a brown fitted leather pull-out writing surface with four drawers above an open compartment. ormolu mounts on each side with a male and a female figure. The top has a ? pierced ormolu gallery. The bureau is finished on all sides. All original mounts and gilt.
