An exquisite and high quality french mid 19th century Transitional st. exoticwood, tulipwood and kingwood, 2 door chest with all original ormolu mounts and hardware. Raised by handsome cabriole legs with ormolu sabots at the front. The scalloped apron has a central foliage shaped ormolu reserve. The 2 doors have a detailed floral marquetry inlay within quarter veneered tulipwwod. The interior is fitted with small drawers. At the top is a white Carrara marble with a pierced ormolu gallery. All original gilt.
