An unusual and impressive pair of French ‘Directoire’ period mahogany armchairs. The pair have very attractive carved pawn shaped front legs and curved back legs. Above is the slightly bombee apron below the most elaborate swan carving at the straight armrests. The pair have a stunning square back and finely detailed green & beige striped silk fabric
