A high quality and finely chased French Empire period, ormolu mounted mahogany, 4-drawer dressing chest, signed ‘Chapuis’, with all original gilt. The chest is raised by round front supports below mahogany ionic columns. At the center are 4 drawers decorated by attractive ormolu handles and keyholes. the top drawer has a delicate ormolu swan shaped handle and an interior writing surface with secret compartments. Above is the moveable rectangular mirror flanked by ormolu dragon shaped ‘Bras De Lumiere’ mounted on the mahogany. Available CedricDupontAntiques.com
