A most exquisite French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. solid mahogany ‘Billet Doux’, sweet letter, desk with all its original interior compartments including the original calendar. The desk is raised by a double slightly scrolling ‘S’ shaped jambs, with original castors joined by a straight support. The drop front leather writing surface is decorated by an exquisite off white pleated silk upholstery on both sides. Inside are letter compartments and hinged writing kits.
