An extremely high quality 18th century Louis XV period French desk in kingwood and tulipwood signed ‘Bernard Ebeniste’. This elegant desk is highly decorated by all of its original ormolu mounts which are signed ‘CTP’ including the chutes and wrap around sabots decorating the high slender cabriole legs. At the scalloped shaped apron are three drawers with ‘C’ scrolled handles and foliate mounts in between. At each end are masculine mask mounts below the important arbalest shaped ormolu gallery which surrounds the original leather top. Exceptional quality throughout. Available CedricDupontAntiques.com
