French 18th Century Louis XV Period Bombee Commode

A very attractive French 18th Century Louis XV period three drawer bombee shaped commode in cherry. The commode is raised by cabriole legs with an exaggerated 'C' scrolled shape ending with ormolu sabots while the frieze has an arbalest shaped apron. Above are the drawers with impressive Rocaille ormolu handles, flanked by a fruitwood floral marquetry inlay. The straight paneled sides have a scalloped apron. At the top lays the original 'Saraucolu' moulded borer marble top. All original hardware.
