A superb French mid 19th century Louis XV st. kingwood and ormolu mounted desk, in the manner of F. Linke. The desk is raised by slender cabriole legs decorated by ormolu chutes, wrap around sabots and acanthus leaf designed top mounts. The arbalest shaped apron has three drawers with the central drawer decorated by a grotto style ormolu mount amidst flowers and foliage, each side drawer is bordered by an ormolu band with an intertwined floral garland.
