A handsome pair of 19th century Louis XVI st. solid mahogany armchairs. Each armchair is raised on tapered fluted front legs with acanthus leaf top crown below the square ormolu rosette mount, and beaded ormolu frieze. The reeded padded arms are decorated with inset ormolu designs. The square upholstered back has a central crown with ormolu rosettes and leaves flanked by square ormolu rosette facades at each corner and tops. All original patina.
