A spectacular and important French mid 19th century Regence style giltwood center table with all four richly carved sides, is raised on 'S' scrolled legs ending with pawed feet. The pierced frieze is decorated with a central shell surrounded by garlands of acanthus leaves with rosettes. The four legs are joined by an 'S’ scrolled 'X' stretcher with a central reserve.
