A handsome and large scale French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. Tulipwood and Kingwood inlaid desk. The desk is raised by square tapered legs with original caster and ormolu sabots while having a leather fitted pullout on both sides. At the apron are four drawers with ormolu keyhole escutcheons. One drawer is with several compartments. The top is fitted with a burgundy and gold tooled leather bordered by a Tulipwood border and a pierced ormolu gallery.
