An elegant set of four French mid 19th century Louis XV st. giltwood armchairs. Each armchair is raised on richly carved cabriole legs with acanthus leaves at the scalloped apron. The ‘S’ scrolled arms have padded armrests. The serpentine upholstered back within a carved giltwood frame has a richly carved acanthus leaf top reserve. All original gilt.
