French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Mahogany Lady's Cylinder Desk

A very elegant 19th century French Louis XVI st. Mahogany, brass and ormolu mounted lady's cylinder desk. The desk is raised by tapering fluted legs decorated by ormolu sabots and brass fitted filettes in the flutes. At the apron is a drawer below the cylinder top, both decorated by brass mouldings. The interior has a pull-out brown leather writing surface below the 3-drawers and two compartments. The hutch has 3 additional drawers decorated the same while on both sides are reeded ormolu bands. The top with a brown marble is surrounded by a pierced gallery.
