An exquisite pair of mid 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu sconces with all original gilt. The superbly chased backplate has a bottom floral finial, and draping garlands at the top below a hot air balloon shaped central element, flanked by rings and topped by the eternal flame. The two ‘C’ scrolled arms with acanthus leaves, have a twisted rope design bordering the saucer and reeded design on the candlecup. Available CedricDupontAntiques.com
