French 19th Century Louis XIV St. Mahogany Armoire

An exquisite French 19th century, circa 1880, Louis XIV st. armoire. The mahogany armoire has a quarter veneer on front and sides of tulipwood and kingwood. The rounded front corners have upper and lower richly chased ormolu mounts flanking the two doors with ormolu keyhole escutcheons. The paneled doors with ormolu border and ormolu mounts at each lower corner with a shell shaped top ormolu mount. The armoire had the original four interior shelves and a top ormolu border.
