An extraordinary late 18th century Continental giltwood and patinated Regulateur, in two parts. The clock is raised on pawed giltwood feet with a central giltwood bow. Above is a flower with a wreath border and scrolling leaves and ribbons. The front door opens to reveal the open face and pendulum, flanked by giltwood scrolls and garlands, with a lattice design below an urn of prosperity. The patinated dial with ormolu hands, is surrounded by giltwood scrolls and acanthus leaves topped by an urn replete with foliage. All original gilt. Available CedricDupontAntiques.com
