A very high quality and extremely elegant French Louis XVI st. mid 19th century cabinet in mouchette mahogany and ormolu mounted. The cabinet is raised by four topie shaped legs decorated by ormolu sabots and top band. The two mottled doors designed with a highly chased ormolu border are flanked by concave corners with beaded ormolu bands. Inside lays the two original adjustable shelves. Above the doors is a single drawer with two handles and a central keyhole escutcheon. At the top lays its original Noir Cihigue marble top. All original hardware and gilt throughout.
