A very handsome pair of Italian 17th century Louis XVI period walnut consoles / center table from Tuscany. Each console is raised on four turned legs with topie shaped feet joined by a straight stretcher. The rounded apron has a central drawer with a decorative Fleur de Lys paper interior lining, possibly added in the 19th century. The two consoles come together to form an impressive center table held together by the original hook latch. The diameter of the console when placed together to form a center table is 48.5". Warm and rich patina throughout.
