An extremely decorative French 19th century Renaissance st. patinated bronze oil lamps on stand. The stand has a tripod base with palmettes, and concave sides, centered by an urn with a platform and figure above. The three band supports are decorated with large leaves centered by a fluted bowl with inverted acorn finial. At the to of each support is a very detailed patinated bronze mounted buck. At the top are a trio of wonderful herons, with wings touching, and serpents grasped in their beaks. Suspended from each entwined serpent is a bronze link chain, supporting an oil lamp with a swan and palmette, centered by a removable lid in the shape of a pheasant. All original patina.
