A stunning French 19th century Louis XIV st. ormolu clock by Gaudron, Paris. The clock is raised by an elegant tapered bottom base with intricate floral rosette design centering a richly chased mask, all in a satin and burnished finish. The exquisite ormolu and enamel dial displays fine floral designs with exceptional etched minutes at the edge, and fitted rich Roman numeral hours. The case is raised by four slender tapered legs and above the convex glass front is an impressive seashell cabochon and pierced lattice design with an impressive and richly chased finial. All original mechanism and gilt.
