A spectacular Italian 18th century Louis XVI period ebonized fruitwood, walnut and giltwood three drawer chest from Luca, Tuscany. The chest is raised by extremely decorative ebnonized fruitwood circular tapered legs with finely carved foliate giltwood accents. Decorative ebonized fruitwood columns flank the two central 'sans traverse' drawers, below a third drawer each with the original ormolu keyhole escutcheons. Above a mottled giltwood band is the handsome walnut top displaying the wonderful warm grain throughout. All original patina throughout.
