French 19th Century Louis XV St. Mantel With Screen And Trumeau

A very handsome French 19th century Louis XV st. marble mantel with screen and Trumeau. The exquisite Alicante Rouge marble mantel is raised on its original marble hearth with curved jambs accented by a large carved acanthus leaf design. The scrolled façade is centered by a large shell cabochon flanked by smaller ones, below the molded edge shelf. The firescreen is decorated with elaborate gilt metal scrolls centered by a basket with protruding painted flowers. The Trumeau is decorated with giltwood borders and two shelves at each side, and scrolled pierced giltwood design elements at the top and bottom. A scrolled frame with acanthus leaf top is below the hand painted painting framed within handsome scrolls a larger acanthus leaf central mount with scrolling garlands. All below a straight molded edge giltwood top crown.
