A handsome French 19th century Louis XV st. tulipwood, kingwood and ormolu mounted cabinet. This three door cabinet is raised on a scalloped base with an ormolu moulded band at the frieze. The central door with a silk interior curtain has an ormolu lattice designed grill with an ormolu border, hinges and ormolu keyhole escutcheon. Each side door is decorated with a lovely parquetry design, continued at each side, and with the same hardware. The doors open to reveal interior adjustable shelves. Above is a moulded ormolu band accented at each canted corner with pierced foliate ormolu mounts within ormolu trim. All below the original impressive and thick Brèche Violette marble top. All original warm patina and gilt throughout.
