French Early 19th Century Louis XVI St. Patinated Freestanding Console

A very elegant French early 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated freestanding console. The console with exquisite and rich carvings throughout is raised by four reeded circular tapered legs ending with spiral fluted topie shaped supports. The reeded portions of the legs are decorated by a lattice ribbon like design below a detailed floral hanging band and feathers above. The legs are joined by a pierced moulded stretcher with a handsome central urn of prosperity, and eternal flame, flanked by a berried laurel branch on each side. The frieze with both concave sides is decorated by a pierced arched design, below swaging berried laurel garlands and a central wreath. The top is fitted with its original Trets marble top. With all original paint throughout.
