An elegant French 19th century Louis XVI st. mahogany and ormolu console. The freestanding console is raised by circular tapered legs with topie shaped ormolu feet and block reserves. The bottom tier displays a ormolu gallery at the front and striking pierced gallery at the concave sides. Above decorative circular bowed fluted supports are two rich square ormolu reserves with an etched and reeded design, in a wonderful satin and burnished finish. T the frieze is a drawer with ormolu handles and keyhole escutcheon, framed within an ormolu border and repeated at each concave side. Above is the original fitted Sainte-Anne des Pyrénées marble top, framed within a fine pierced ormolu gallery.
