A stunning and most elegant French 18th century Louis XVI Period flamed mahogany and marble buffet signed JME G JACOB. The buffet is raised by circular tapered legs with fine ormolu sabots. Leading up each side are architectural circular fluted columns with ormolu plinths and capitals with impressive fitted brass fillets. At the center is one pair of doors and a single door, each decorated with a fine brass fillet on a recessed pane. The doors open to reveal the wonderful top to bottom original hardware and the two original adjustable shelves. Above is the original Bleu Turquin marble top with rounded sides and a mottled edge following the contours of the streamlined buffet.
