A striking French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. mahogany and tulipwood Meuble à Hauteur D’Appui, signed A BLANQUI MARSEILLE. The cabinet is raised by elegant topie shaped feet with fine ormolu top caps with a foliate pattern. The frieze is decorated with a richly chased fitted berried laurel ormolu band following the contour of the base. At the center are two doors, with ormolu chicken wire, with a richly chased ormolu band and rosettes within a quarter veneered tulipwood frame. The two doors open to reveal two shelves and are flanked by most decorative architectural circular fluted columns with fine fitted ormolu chandelles. Above is a decorative panel displaying a detailed central ormolu rosette flanked by exquisite pierced scrolled and foliate movements and diamond parquetry. All below the original Vert Campan marble top. With all original gilt and patina throughout
