A stunning Italian 18th century Louis XV period rosewood and maplewood chest from Florence. The four drawer chest is raised by elegant cabriole legs below the arbalest shaped frieze. At the center are two large drawers below two smaller drawers each sans traverse, without crossbar, and displaying the stunning rosewood grain and a fine inlaid diamond shaped maplewood keyhole escutcheons. Each drawer opens to reveal its original hardware. Above is the original striking Sienna Brocatelle marble top, following the contour of the chest and displaying a mottled border and rounded corners.
All original warm patina throughout.
