A very handsome French 18th century Louis XV period ebony and ormolu Bureau Plat. The desk is raised by elegant cabriole legs with
fine pierced wrap around ormolu sabots and impressive and richly chased pierced foliate top mounts in an exceptional satin and
burnished finish. At the arbalest frieze are three drawers with finely chased ormolu handles and central keyhole escutcheon. The back is likewise decorated with faux drawers, and a leather top pull out at one side. At the top is a gilt tooled leather fitted within an ormolu gallery
