An Italian 19th Century Terra Cotta Planter From Tuscany

A handsome Italian 19th century terra cotta planter from Tuscany. The planter is raised by a square base below the fluted socle pedestal with a Les Oves pattern. The body displays an elegant shape and beautiful foliate patterns throughout. At the center is a fine family crest below a handsome lion's head from where rich swaging floral garlands hang. To each side are scrolled handles connected to the mottled rim. Wonderful original rich patina throughout.
