French 19th Century Louis XV St. Mahogany And Ormolu Side Table, Attributed To François Linke.

A very elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XV st. mahogany, ormolu and marble side table, attributed to François Linke. The table is raised by slender cabriole legs with fine fitted foliate wrap around sabots and a decorative ormolu fillet which connects the richly chased pieced foliate corner mounts. At the most decorative arbalest shaped frieze are fine scrolled foliate ormolu fillets and one drawer at the side. Above is the original fitted Brèche Violette marble top framed within a mottled ormolu gallery.
François Linke (1855-1946) Renowned 19th Century Parisian Ébéniste. Linke created historical interpretations of Louis XV and Louis XVI styles. He displayed at the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1900 where he received a gold medal.
