A handsome French 19th century Neo-Classical st. burl walnut, tulipwood and ormolu mounted buffet. The 'D' shaped buffet is raised by four circular tapered legs ending with ormolu sabots. Above is the straight frieze below the two burl walnut inlaid doors that have a tulipwood border inlay and ormolu key hole escutcheons. Above are two drawers with fanciful and richly chased pierced ormolu plaques with a design of palmettes centered by an ormolu pull. The doors and drawers are separated by a vertical central panel inlaid the same, topped by an ormolu mount with a Neo-Classical urn and figures. Inside lays one shelf. At the top lays the original Brèche de Baixas marble. All original hardware.
