A sensational French 19th century Louis XV st. Tulipwood, Kingwood and ormolu cabinet, attributed to Zweiner. The cabinet is raised by handsome scrolled legs with with rich acanthus leaf sabots and a fine ormolu chute which extends up to most impressive and richly chased maidens amidst foliate. The arbalest shaped frieze is centered by a striking seashell reserve and fabulous detailed foliate movements. At the center are two doors decorated with beautiful and masterfully executed floral marquetry on a butterfly veneered background, framed in a foliate ormolu border. The doors open to reveal two shelves and top to bottom original hardware. Above is a single drawer centered by a fine mask of a handsome bearded man flanked by ormolu bands and foliate ormolu pulls in a satin and burnished finish. Above is the original and unique Brèche marble with a mottled border.
