An extremely elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Rouge Griotte marble and ormolu cassolettes. Each cassolette is raised by spiral fluted topie shaped feet below a triangular Rouge Griotte marble tier with convex sides and a mottled border. At the center are three impressive supports with handsome hoof feet, acanthus leaves and a fine overlapping pattern, all centering a fine rosette and an inverted acorn finial. At the top of each support are richly chased rams heads flanked by a charming fitted pierced foliate band and connected by exceptional swaging floral garlands. Above is a fine coeur-de-rai and a rich foliate band with a fabulous acorn finial. All original gilt throughout.
