A very decorative pair of 18th century Venetian painted and gilt tole lanterns. The pair with a bottom gilt ball leads to ‘S’ scrolled green leaves with red tips. The hexagonally shaped band above has reserves at each corner. The six concaved open sides have a red twisted leaves and reserves with additional green leaves and whimsical off-white flowers. The lantern is held by a swiveled scrolled support decorated by green foliage.
