A spectacular and large scaled French 19th century Louis XVI st. three arm electrified Blue John fluorite and ormolu mounted candelabra. The candelabra is raised by an impressive 'D' shaped Blue John fluorite base above ormolu supports. The base is decorated by a central front rosette below a reeded band with an 'X' design. The tapered upper portion of the base is embellished by richly chased laurel garlands and a top bow. The three 'S' scrolled arms derive from the top center of the base. The arms are decorated by scrolled acanthus leaves leading to the spiral fluted saucers under the fluted candlecups. Flanking the electrified arms are two additional 'C' scrolled foliate arms that end with the Gallic Rooster a national French emblem. Superb quality throughout.
