A spectacular and most decorative Italian Louis XIV period center table. The table is raised by an impressive triangular early 18th century giltwood base with paw foot supports. Above are mottled borders and recessed panels with large acanthus leaves on each side. At each corner are bold and richly carved acanthus leaves which support the marble top. The 19th century marble top is exquisitely decorated by a mosaic design amidst pear shaped inlays of various specimen marble all surrounding a circular Porphyry inlay.
