A monumental and extremely high quality French 19th century ormolu and Baccarat crystal, thirty two light chandelier. This sensational chandelier is centered by a rare and most impressive solid crystal ball with fine ormolu acanthus leaves surrounded by stunning cut Baccarat crystal pendants. The ormolu cage displays a unique and extremely decorative twisted design. Each arm has elegant lightly scrolled movement adorned with either a large acanthus leaf or a corkscrew movement. The arms are decorated with acorn finials ending with eagle heads holding cut crystals in their beaks. A stunning array of Baccarat cut crystal pendants, comparable in size, thickness and quality, to the chandeliers hanging in Le Palais de Versailles. At the center is the most impressive crystal dagger with a twisted designed ormolu spray and most decorative cut crystal pendants.
