A striking French early 19th century Regence st. rectangular giltwood bench. The bench is raised by cabriole legs ending with hooves below carved acanthus leaves. The upper portion of the legs display a reserve with a lattice design. The legs are joined by a handsome ‘X’ stretcher with a central foliate rosette. The sides have an elegant scalloped shape with a central shell design. Upholstered in black leather and finished with French natural brass nails.
