French 19th Century Louis XV St. Ormolu And Hand Blown Glass Lantern
Item # 9469
An elegant and large scale French 19th century Louis XV st. ormolu and hand blown glass lantern. The lantern is centered by a unique circular design with five bobeches and electrified candles. At the mottled bottom border are fine seashell cabochons, scrolled acanthus leaves and foliate patterns that extend up the sides. The lantern retains all of its original hand blown glass panes, one of which opens as a door. Each beautifully S scrolled top design is centered by a richly chased foliate reserve in a striking satin and burnished finish with scrolled supports leading up to the most decorative top crown.
