A stunning and large scale 'famille noir', Circa. 1870, meiji period, porcelain urn with it's original lid. The urn is mounted on an impressive French Louis XVI st. ormolu square base with canted corners and richly chased rosettes below a reeded circular ormolu band. The urn has a colorful foliage design below the lid which is decorated by an ormolu finial.
