A spectacular French mid 19th century Louis XVI st. white Carrara marble and ormolu clock in the manner of 'Clodion', with all original gilt. Raised by topie shaped supports, The break front shaped rectangular marble base is decorated by a finely chased ormolu plaque of Putti playing and foliate mounts. The sides are finished The same. Above is an attractive large marble pedestal mounted by ormolu floral garlands. The impressive Arabic numeral enamel dial, has a charming ormolu putti at The left, on the right a classically dressed maiden. At the top is a detailed finial shaped like a flame, with arrows & flowers
