An attractive and unusual pair of Italian early 19th century, neo-classical white Carrara marble and porphry oval shaped carved profile medallions of Caesar (left) and Brutus (right). a thick moulded Carrara marble border surrounds The most rare porphyry back plate. At the center of each medallion is each profile, facing each other, with rich carvings of fine details.
